A 19th century Chinese carved wooden grain basket with large handles made of bamboo.This basket is made of a large bowl closed by a lid.The entire varnished basket is carved of wood and painted in red gilt lacquer.The lid showcases hand painted flower,bird "kingfisher" and  calligraphy.The basket features a tall bamboo handle.This Chinese 19th century hand-carved wood grain basket with bamboo handle would be an exotic decorative item in most rooms, perhaps in a living room where it would no doubt add an original touch.
